In 1991, the First National People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit, sponsored by the United Church of Christ's Commission for Racial Justice, adopted 17 Principles of Environmental Justice. These moving, thorough, inclusive principles serve as a guidepost for a just, sustainable world.
